Richard “Riddy” Wyatt is a lifelong Plainfield resident—born, raised, and deeply rooted in the city he loves and proudly calls home. A dedicated community advocate and proven leader, Richard has spent his life fighting for equity, transparency, and progress for all Plainfield residents.

His record of service speaks for itself. As a former member and President of the Plainfield Board of Education, he worked to strengthen educational opportunities for students and families. Now, as 2nd & 3rd Wards Councilman-At-Large, he continues to encourage policies that uplift the community, drive economic development, and enhance the quality of life for all.

Richard’s deep connection to Plainfield—its history, its people, and its future—fuels his vision for a stronger, more united city. His leadership is not just about policy; it’s about the people.
